Example of how to add a new web site to google search console and validate the property. Let's consider the following case of a website located on DigitalOcean with a domain name managed by namecheap

Add a new web site to google search console
To add an new site to the google search console, it is necessary to have an account and then click on
"Search Property" and "Add property" (see figure 1)
A new window will open asking to enter your domain name (Figure 2):
After that the Google search console will provide you an identification code (Figure 3). Copy the code:
Validate the property
Now let's go for example to your DigitalOcean account and click on your domain name (Note: to add your domain name in your DigitalOcean account click on the red button 'Create' and click on Domains/DNS) you should get something similar as figure 5. From there, select TXT and copy your google console identification code that you get previously, and then click on the button "Create Record".
Then return to the google search console and click on the button "Verify" (Figure 5):
You should get a new window telling you that the Ownership has been verified:
